MT Pain Institute for providers

From idea to boondoggle in less than one month.

In late 2009, I began to get more calls from other providers about medical marijuana, and also got some questions from patients about the topic.  I started to ask some of my friends in law enforcement and chemical dependency about the topic.  At that point, there were about 4000 MT medical marijuana patients.   I was in contact with several marijuana caregiver groups as well, wanting to know more about the topic.  In my interviews, I encountered a lot of talk, rhetoric and (may I say it?) smoke, but very little of substance.   I decided that perhaps a survey might be a good idea.  I met Mr. Tom Daubert, a truly gracious gentleman who is part of a caregiver network.

How it works.

I actually worked with several gracious persons to get the survey in form, and it is (as of 21 Feb 2010) currently online.  It remains to be seen what will come of it.   After an interview in the Great Falls Tribune, it was launched by Mr. Daubert's announcement, and the paper's printing of the survey address.
I have no funding, no research grant, no affiliation with state or federal agencies, no big pharma backing.
When we close the study, probably in late March, we will look at the data, and decide how to share it.
